Hey everybody! While helping a patron at SG she was trying to print her daughters algebra homework. The teacher had saved the file as an xml document. After trying everything I knew and everything google had to offer...I'm still at a loss. Any suggestions?
Here is the link to the teachers site http://arapahoe.littletonpublicschools.net/Default.aspx?tabid=10840
Scroll down to Wednesday, April 25th and open the "Homework WS"
Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Julie!
ReplyDeleteThis is a .zip or "zip" file. In order to open it you or the patron will need to download an unzipping program. I usually use Winzip. It is a paid program but you can download a trial for free that lasts pretty much forever. http://www.winzip.com/index.htm
For nerds out there, what zip files are- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zip_(file_format)
With any luck, this program should unzip the compressed file and allow access to the files saved within. Hope help isn't too late! :)
Actually, the issue comes after unzipping the file...it's an xml file that doesn't seem to want to be opened correctly...
ReplyDeleteI see! I ran into this with another patron trying to open something similar. If you are still trying to figure it out try on the MAC using NeoOffice instead. It accepts .xml files. If no one can access it from any computer- I bet file was probably corrupted. :(
ReplyDeleteThanks @nnarum! You are a bundle of help!
