Autism Assisted Apps

For iPad and other iOS devices there are now many apps available that reach out to the individuals that are affected by autism spectrum disorders.  So many have proliferated recently that there is now a specific app (Autism Apps) that provides a comprehensive list for those searching for such assistance.  Various apps are targeted to motor skills, eye/hand coordination, learning facial/ verbal expressions, learning how to verbalize wants and needs.  They aid in conversation between parents and children and help in learning words or social skills.  For those of us engaged in providing Storytime sessions for our youngest patrons we encounter those that may be affected by autism.  This is wonderful and beneficial information that we can share with these families to offer assistance of a unique type.
