AARP has issued a spam alert. Rather than the generic "send money now" e-mails, scammers are now sending out fewer, personalized phishing messages often including actual names and addresses of the receiver. Some reminders, always be suspicious even if it has your name or appears to come from a friend, legitimate businesses don't request personal info updating through e-mail, watch for "scammer grammer", spearfishers are often overseas operations without a command of the English language.
