My first experience with my Nook Simple was trying to register it while at CW. This requires connecting to WiFi. I soon learned that e-Readers cannot connect to WiFi at ALD since the security is set so high. I then went to Barnes and Noble where the gentleman was very helpful, actually registering for me in just a few minutes.
I had a hard time accessing my wireless connection at HOME with my new Nook, as did two of our other colleagues. Eventually I called CenturyLink (formerly Qwest) to confirm that my password was correct (it was), and then I found some troubleshooting guidelines under on the Barnes and Noble web site, which recommended that I turn the reader off and then on again before trying to access wifi. That, and my new wireless password, seemed to work. To get to the troubleshooting guidelines, use this URL and then scroll down to Connectivity: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/u/Support-NOOK-Simple-Touch/379003176?#40270-9
